Paddle Mixing & Machine Mixing Guide For Plaster & Render

MATERIAL PADDLE MIXING MACHINE MIXING
PLASTERS

Hardwall, browning, backing & undercoat plasters

Backing plasters are quite heavy to mix and are often mixed two or three bags at a time

The MM21 or MM22 MEGAMIXERS with an MR3 5in paddle are recommended for a daily output of 150 square metres a day. For more constant use the MM29 or MM30 with an MR3 6in paddle is suggested

For mixing of hardwall use the RMX100 ROTAMIXER

This mixer will turnout a bag in about 2 minutes upto 20 bags an hour

Hardwall can also be mixed and pumped through the M22 Mixer Pump. This machine will take dry powder, mix and pump it to the spray gun for application

Multi-finish & setting plasters

These are lighter plasters that are applied as a thinner topcoat over backing plasters or plasterboard

The MM19, MM21 or MM22 MEGAMIXERS with 5in MR3 paddle are recommended

One coat & projection plasters

One coat plaster can be mixed using the MM21 or MM22 MEGAMIXERS with an MR3 5in paddle for a daily output of 150 square metres a day. For more constant use the MM29 or MM30 with an MR3 6in paddle is suggested

These plasters are suitable for machine application with the M22 and M5 Mixer Pumps

These machines will take dry powder, mix and pump it to the spray gun for application

DRYWALL COMPOUNDS
Bonding compound

Bonding compound is sticky and heavy to mix

The MM21 or MM22 MEGAMIXERS with an MR3 5in paddle are recommended for a single bag mixes

For more constant use the MM29 or MM30 with an MR3 6in paddle is suggested

Board finish plasters

These are lighter plasters that are applied as a thinner topcoat over plasterboard

The MM19, MM21 or MM22 MEGAMIXERS with 5in MR3 paddle are recommended

Artex & textured coatings

Artex is normally mixed a bag at a time

The MM19, MM21 or MM22 MEGAMIXERS with 5in MR3 paddle are recommended

RENDERS

Sand & cement renders

For patching or where specialist admixes or polymers are being used, the MM29 or MM30 with an MR3 6in paddle are recommended

Cement mixers are traditionally used for knocking up sand and cement renders

Increasingly higher quality mixes are required; for these renders use the RMX100 or RMX200 ROTAMIXER

One coat renders & colour through renders

Polymer and silicone renders are normally used in large volumes and need a constant supply of mixed material

The MM29 or MM30 MEGAMIXERS with an MR3 6in paddle are recommended

For trowel application these renders can be mixed using the RMX100 or RMX200 ROTAMIXERS

Many of these bagged renders can be spray applied using a mixer pump
